And here is Misa's bag!

The fabric used for this bag is from Mama said Sew by Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics.

Shop Till You Drop Tote

We have recently bought the Shop Till You Drop Tote bag pattern at Craftsy. The bag was designed by Sew 4 Fun. We made the bag last weekend. This is an easy bag to do for Ladies who are proficient in sewing or quilting. For the less experienced Ladies, this bag is achievable with a little help. I really like the pattern and the instructions. One could make the bag from start to finish in one day.

Here is the end product made by Olivia.

Little Hearts

We are members of the Jacaranda Quilt League. The Jacaranda Quilt League is supporting the World Transplant Games 2013 which is hosted in Durban, South Africa from 28 July - 04 August 2013.

Recipients who have received life saving organ transplants from more than 55 countries worldwide will compete in various sports. The games celebrates the triumph of the human spirit and the hope that is behind every transplant.

In order to support this initiative, it was decided that we would make little postcard quilts which could be given to participants.

Our home group, Lappiesvreugde, is hard at work. Here is some "Hearts". It is still work in progress.

We are now stockist of Biggie Best Fabrics. I have always loved the fabric and it is really a dream come true to know that I am now able to sell their fabric in my own shop as well.

UFO finished!

I have finished a block of the "Twister" pinwheels. It was supposed to be my outside pocket of a tote bag but it inturn became a display item for my quilt shop.

It is such a lovely and versatile pattern to use for a table runner, bed runner, place mats or table topper.

Long Time

Hi Friends,

It was such a long time that I have not been blogging. Quite a number of things happened whilst away from  blog land. We have updated the website with new articles. See www.mezomode.co.za. Worked through the first financial year end of the business.

On the fun side of things, we made a couple of quilts and needless to say we have created a couple of new WIP's.
